Slow Cooker Maple Dijon Lil Smokies Serves: 10
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 2–3 hours
Total time: 2 hours and 5 minutes
You will need
• 2 (14-ounce) packages Lil Smokies
• 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
• 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
• 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• Parsley for serving (optional)
• Mini wooden skewers for serving
1. Add the Lil Smokies to your slow cooker.
In a small bowl, stir together the maple syrup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
2. Pour the maple Dijon sauce over the Lil Smokies and stir until everything is evenly coated. Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours or HIGH for about 1–1 1/2 hours.
3. Stir occasionally while they cook so the sausages stay coated in the sauce. Once the sauce is hot, glossy, and slightly thickened, switch the slow cooker to WARM for serving.
4. Garnish with parsley for serving and arrange with mini wooden skewers nearby for guests to grab and go!
