Chicken Alfredo Sliders serves: 6
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
You will need
• 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian rolls
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 pound chicken breast, cut into small cubes
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1 (15-ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
• 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted, for topping
• 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley for topping
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder for topping
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the cubed chicken and seasonings. Cook the chicken, stirring occasionally, until completely cooked through.
2. Keeping the Hawaiian rolls connected, slice the entire package in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom half of the rolls into a baking dish.
Sprinkle about half of the mozzarella cheese evenly over the rolls.
3. Add the cooked chicken over the cheese
Then drizzle Alfredo sauce over the chicken. You can use as much or as little sauce as you like.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the Alfredo chicken
Then add the crumbled bacon.
4. Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls back on.
Mix the melted butter with 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley and garlic powder. Brush the garlic butter generously over the tops of the rolls.
5. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are lightly golden.
Slice into individual sliders and serve warm. Serve with extra warmed Alfredo sauce on the side for dipping.
Tips and tricks!
• Keep the sliders in the fridge for 2-3 days in an airtight container.
• Rotisserie chicken can be used instead of cooking chicken from scratch for an even quicker version. You can also use freshly cooked bacon or precooked microwave bacon to save time.
• For extra saucy sliders, add a little more Alfredo sauce inside, but avoid adding too much or the base can become soggy.
