Hot Honey Apple Cheddar Turkey Sliders serves: 12

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes

You will need

• 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls

• 1 lb deli turkey, sliced

• 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese

• 2 Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced

• 1/4 cup hot honey

• 4 tbsp butter, melted

• 1 tsp garlic powder

• 1 tsp dried parsley

• 1/2 tsp onion powder

• 1 tbsp poppy seeds

1. Preheat the oven to 350° and spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Without separating the rolls, slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.

2. Layer the turkey evenly over the rolls.

Top with the cheddar cheese slices.

Arrange the thin apple slices evenly over the cheese.

Drizzle the hot honey over the apples and place the top half of the rolls on top.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, parsley, onion powder, and poppy seeds.

Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.

4. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips and tricks! Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.

• Honeycrisp apples provide the best sweet, tart flavor, but Gala or Pink Lady apples work great too.

• If you prefer less heat, use regular honey instead of hot honey.

• Slice the apples very thin so they soften slightly while baking.
